I still have to incorporate Payroll and director salary

Switching mid-year is fine

You do not have to wait for a year end. We request your file, check what is missing and tell you what we find before you commit to anything.

What a BV asks of you

More obligations than a sole proprietorship, and more room to make choices. Both are reasons to have someone actually looking.

Annual accounts, filed and deposited

Your BV files a set of accounts every year and deposits an abridged version at the Chamber of Commerce. Missing the deposit is a matter of public record.

Corporate tax on the company, income tax on you

Two returns, two sets of rules, one set of decisions connecting them. Treating them separately is how money gets left behind.

A salary for yourself, through a real payroll

As a director-shareholder you are on your own payroll, with a payroll tax registration and monthly filings behind it.

Anything you take out has to be traceable

Salary, dividend or a current account with your own company. Each is taxed differently and each has to be documented.

More than bookkeeping

Four decisions that change what you keep.

None of these show up in your bookkeeping. All of them show up in what you pay.

These are examples of topics we may review. Any advice depends on your individual circumstances.

  • How much salary you pay yourself

There is a norm for what a director-shareholder should earn, with room to argue in both directions. Too low draws questions, too high costs you. It deserves a look as soon as something changes, and at year end in any case — once at the start is not enough.

  • Salary or dividend, and when

The mix changes what you keep, and so does the timing across two calendar years. This is the single most valuable conversation most BV owners never have.

  • What you owe your own company

A current account with your BV is normal until it is not. There are limits and consequences, and both are easier to manage early.

  • Whether a holding is worth it

A holding structure protects what you build up and changes how a future sale is taxed. It also costs money to run, so it is not automatically right.

What we take care of

One team for the company, the payroll and you personally.

A price built around your company

Your revenue, invoice volume, bank accounts, currencies and payroll determine your fixed monthly fee. A holding is a separate line, so you can see what it costs.

Questions we get a lot

Is tax advice included in the monthly fee?
Yes. Every package includes a number of advice hours per year. Only special situations fall outside that, and those are quoted before we start, so you are never surprised by an invoice.
Can you take over from my current accountant?
Usually without much trouble. We request the file, check what is missing and tell you before we start whether we expect any surprises. Most switches happen at a year end, but they do not have to.
Do you also do my personal income tax return?
Yes. For a BV owner it is quoted alongside the subscription rather than included, because it is a genuinely separate piece of work. Your quote will say exactly what it costs.
I have a holding and an operating company. Is that two subscriptions?
No, it is one subscription with a holding added to it. The quote shows both lines so you can see what each part costs.
I am the only employee. Do I really need payroll?
If you are a director-shareholder of your own BV, yes. We register your BV as an employer, request the payroll tax number and run it monthly.
What does it cost?
A fixed monthly fee based on your revenue, invoice volume, bank accounts, currencies and how many people are on the payroll. Answer eleven questions and your personal quote arrives within 15 minutes.
